Pumpkin Bread

This recipe comes from Mom’s friend Donna DeVinck. It’s a favorite of Nora and Emma.

1 can pumpkin (15 ounce size)

3 cups white sugar

4 eggs

1 cup oil

3 1/3 cups flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

2 tsp. baking soda

1 1/2 tsp. salt (or less)

1 tsp. nutmeg

1 tsp. cloves

1 tsp. cinnamon

Grease and flour 3 medium loaf pans. Bake at 325 for 1.5 hours or till toothpick tests dry. Leave in pans for about 10 minutes. Take out to cool. Freezes well.
