Dumplings

Make these and cook on top of chicken stew. Leslee’s secret ingredient to chicken stew is some teriyaki sauce.

1 cup flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. salt

1 egg, added to a half cup measuring cup.

Add milk to fill to top of cup. Mix egg and milk together; add to flour and baking powder mixture. Add some more milk if necessary, but keep batter stiff. Drop on top of boiling liquid. Cook for 10 minutes covered, but put a dishtowel under the cover, so liquid from stew gets absorbed into towel and does not drip back down into dumplings. Cook another 10 minutes uncovered.
