Brunch Eggs

Jim makes this every Christmas Eve.  He pops it into the oven Christmas morning and it bakes while the kids are unwrapping presents.  The recipe calls for sausage but bacon is delicious too.  This is a large recipe; there are always plenty of leftovers which is nice!

 6 slices French bread, crumbled

1 lg. hot sausage, fried

8 oz. sharp cheddar, grated

1 onion, chopped

1 can chopped green chilies, drained

2 cup milk

1 tsp. prepared mustard

8 eggs, beaten

1 T. chili powder

Mix all ingredients together.  Let stand in refrigerator overnight.  Bake in greased 9x13 inch dish at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
