Skillen noodles and Peas
A big improvement over tuna-potato chip hot dish!
1 8 ounce package fine noodles (can substitute vermicellli; if so, break up noodles into small pieces)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
4 T. butter (can substitute cooking oil)
1 can tuna, drained
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup light cream or half and half
1 can chicken broth
1 small package frozen peas
Melt butter/oil in skillet, add noodles, garlic and onions. Cook, stirring frequently, until noodles are golden brown. Add rests of the ingredients (except peas), cover, and cook 10-15 minutes, until noodles are tender. Add peas, stir to break them apart, cover and cook 5 minutes, until peas are thawed.
