Mom’s Fresh Tomato Soup
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
Sauté in 4 T. butter in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat.
Add: 2 cups peeled, chopped, fresh tomatoes, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, cook till thick.
Add 4 T. flour, cook for a minute or two.
Slowly pour in 4 cups milk, cream, or half and half. Add a dash of garlic salt, pepper and paprika. Simmer till heated through.
