White Fluffy Frosting

This makes a very light, not too sweet frosting, enough for a 9 x 13 inch pan or two layers.

1/3 cup shortening

1/3 cup margarine (This is what the original recipe calls for; I made it recently with just butter and it was really good)

2 egg whites

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Put all ingredients in a deep, small, bowl. Beat at highest speed of mixer for 10-15 minutes.
