Seven Minute Frosting

Notation on this old recipe from Mom’s collection says, “very good”

1 2/3 cup granulated sugar

5 T. water

1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

2 egg whites (not beaten)

Mix all together and put in top of double boiler (water boiling in lower pot) and beat for seven minutes.
